What is a self photography studio?

A self photography studio lets you take your own portraits using professional studio equipment. The camera, lighting and background are already set up. You stand in front of the camera and use a small handheld remote to take each photo.

You don’t need to operate the camera or know anything about photography.

How does a session at Zexi work?

Once bookings open, you’ll choose a session time online. At the studio, you’ll use the prepared camera and lighting setup to take your photos with a remote clicker.

During your session, you can try different poses, change outfits and take photos on your own or with the people you bring. Your session photos are included digitally, with no additional charge per image.

Where will Zexi be located?

Zexi is coming to the South Bay of Los Angeles. We’re still finalizing our physical location and will share the address before bookings open.

We’re planning the studio for clients throughout the South Bay, including Torrance, Lomita, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, El Segundo, Gardena, Hawthorne, Lawndale, Carson, San Pedro and the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

Can I take professional headshots at Zexi?

Yes. Zexi’s studio setup can be used for professional headshots for LinkedIn, company websites, business profiles, portfolios and personal branding.

You control when each photo is taken, so you can try different expressions and angles. Bring a second shirt or jacket if you’d like a few different looks.

Is Zexi suitable for kids and family photos?

Yes. Families can use the studio for children’s portraits, sibling photos and photos together. Because the camera is operated with a remote, a parent can be in the picture while taking the photo.

Children will need to be accompanied and supervised by an adult. We’ll confirm session capacity and any age-specific guidance before bookings open.

Can I book a birthday photoshoot or celebrate another occasion?

Yes. The studio can be used for birthday portraits, graduation photos, anniversaries, holiday photos and other milestones.

You can take individual portraits or photos with others, within the studio’s group limit. If you’re planning to bring decorations or props, check our guidelines when booking.

Can content creators use the studio?

Yes. Zexi is suitable for creators and business owners who need portrait and lifestyle photos for social media, websites and marketing.

You can bring different outfits and plan several looks within your session. The camera and lighting will already be set up, so you can spend your time creating photos.

Can I take couples photos or come with friends?

Yes. You can use the remote to take photos together without asking someone else to stay behind the camera. Couples sessions, friendship portraits and solo sessions are all welcome.

Can I bring my pet for photos?

Yes! Bring your pet for portraits, birthday photos or a photo together. With the camera and lighting already set up, you can focus on getting their attention and capturing their personality.

Please supervise your pet throughout the session and bring treats or a favorite toy to help them feel comfortable.

Do I need to bring a camera or any equipment?

No. The camera, lighting, background and remote are provided. You only need to bring what you’d like to wear.

Can I change outfits or backgrounds?

You’re welcome to bring a change of clothes. Outfit changes take place within your booked session, so keep that in mind when choosing your session length.

Multiple background colors are provided. Available options and instructions will be listed before opening.

Are the photos included in the session price?

Yes. Your session photos will be included digitally, with no additional charge per image.

How much does a session cost?

Pricing and session lengths will be announced before bookings open. You’ll be able to review the full cost and what’s included before choosing a session.
